2016-2017 Junior Year
Young Adult Weekend Getaway
For the first project to start off this course, we had to plan a weekend getaway for a specific person. This project was really meaningful for me because when entering this class, I initially didn't know anybody that well, so the project was the perfect way to get to know everybody better. Whiling doing this project, I enjoyed thinking up of different ways how someone can plan their trip according to their personalities, and interests. Overall, I thought this project was the perfect way to start off and introduce this confusing, but enjoyable class. |

Themed Holiday Party
|
For the fall finals for my junior year, we had to plan a themed party of our choosing. My group, which included Judy, Carmen, and Annie decided to plan a party based on a Night in Paris. I'm not exactly sure on how we choose the idea on the project, but I'm pretty sure it was because the song "Paris," by the Chainsmokers was popular at the time, or due to the fact that someone liked the Eiffel Tower. Anyways, this project has also impacted me deeply by helping me get out of my bubble, and actually talk to people who I don't normally would talk to. |
2017-2018 Senior Year
Where are you going? Where have you been?
This project is exactly what it sounds like, we basically talked about where we have been and where we want to go to. Although this project seems pretty basic, it has actually been one of my favorites since being in this class. Looking back to the places I've been to gave me a wonderful sense of nostalgia, and thinking about the future, planning the trips to the places where I want to go to, further increased my need and want to explore/travel the entire world. |

Food Truck Presentations
|
For the final project of the fall semester of my senior year, my group and I had to create a food truck in San Francisco. We decided to create a food truck based on chicken wings since its a type of food that could be found in many cultures. I had a pleasant time working on this project because it introduced me to the culinary world and how hard it is to actually starting a business. |
How I Build This?
For this project, we had to recreate a podcast based on "How I build this with guy Raz," on the National Public Radio (NPR). We had to describe how a business started up. For my podcast, I decided to do it on Stony-field Yogurts. I only choose to do my podcast on this since my mom would typically get me Stony-Field Yogurt every time she goes grocery shopping. Researching on the business I choose, and listening to the businesses my classmates picked was entertaining since each business had a different, unique, and mostly funny story starting up. |

Ted Talk
|
For this project, we had to recreate a Ted Talk on something we knew really well or something we were passionate about. The topic I choose was on how to maintain a long distance relationship. I decided to do my project on this because I am currently in one myself, and there were a lot of people in my class that were going to colleges out of the city or even state, so I thought that they would need to know someways to maintain their relationships. |
